ICAD 2015 has started!

Last year I took part in ICAD.....index card a day for the months of June and July. I had a total ball and didn't hesitate to sign up again this year. You can see all the details on Tammy Garcia's blog http://daisyyellowart.com/

My title card

Day1  There is a daily prompt which is optional. Day 1 was chevron.

Day 2...no prompt used

Day 3....no prompt used. I had fun drawing and doodling. I haven't drawn a lot of faces and I want to do some during ICAD and hopefully improve.

Day 4....The prompt was mailbox and I chose some junk mail from a pile I have and collaged lots of Christmas pictures from a catalogue.

Day 5....more doodling...it is so relaxing!

Day 6....another face..I am happy with this one

Day 7....I had no inspiration today until I hit on the idea of sewing and gelli prints. Happy with how it came together.

Inspiration Wednesday 7...another week finished.

I used some old Basic Grey paper on the left hand side and painted the tree on it. I made my own text stencil and used a portion of Kipling's "If". The brown paper on the right hand side is part of a shopping bag from my Irish trip in 2012. So loving all these pages....and another video comes out tonight!!

Inspiration Wednesday 6

I loved doing this one....I used similar colours to Donna but her shapes were more like trees. I could see poppies....so poppies they became and I added a poppy to the inclusion. The inclusion is my favourite part of this spread.

Here is a close up of the inclusion.

Inspiration Wednesday catch up!

I have been a bit slack in the blogging department lately. Loving Inspiration Wednesday so much! Here is IW#3....very busy and chaotic but such fun to do.

My IW#4. I am very happy with this one...love the colours and textures and the stamps I used.

IW#5. Donna did birds with this one and I decided to do houses. Doing the texture of the grass with string and texture paste was fun. It is quite thick and took ages to dry!

I thought it was finished but decided to grunge it up a bit and also added a stamp.

Donna Downey's Inspiration Wednesday

Early in December I signed up for Donna Downey's Inspiration Wednesday and have been anxiously waiting for it to start on January7. Meanwhile I made my own inspiration journal following Donna's instructions.

At last, the first video was released and I started on my page...it took me a week with waiting for gesso and modelling paste to dry.
